Certificate in BIM and Lean Construction Management – ATU Sligo

Overview 

A one year part-time and fully online programme developed to meet construction industry needs. You will be able to deliver projects using BIM and Lean Construction methods. This 25 credit certificate programme will provide
learners with an appreciation, knowledge, tools and techniques for effective Project Management
incorporating BIM and Lean Construction principles.

Who should attend? 

This Level 9 Postgraduate Certificate has been designed to provide the knowledge and skills of BIM and Lean Construction to Level 8 qualified individuals interested in progressing their career in this developing area. Professionals from across the Built Environment sector will have an interest in this programme as it will provide excellent opportunities for career progression with this in demand skillset.

Programme Delivery:

This Post Graduate Certificate programme is delivered part time, online over one academic year with a focus on a flexible learning experience designed to suit you and your life. Typically, you can expect one hour of lectures per week per module and these are usually delivered in the evening between 6pm and 9pm Monday to Thursday. All lectures are recorded so you can watch back at a time that is more convenient to you and presented by both ATU lecturers with significant industry experience and guest lecturers from private industry. 

Entry Requirements

A Level 8 qualification or equivalent is required for entry to this programme. Applicants with other qualifications and with relevant work experience may also be considered through ATU Sligo’s Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) process. Learner Outcome:

This programme provides the participants with a full overview and understanding of the processes that are required to develop and implement BIM and Lean Construction Management in a project environment. The course aims to provide the participant with the training, skills, and practical experience to plan and deliver projects with BIM and Lean management principles. As the construction industry continues to adopt these approaches, this programme is ideal for recently qualified graduates within the construction industry and experienced employees looking to upskill to meet the coming challenges.
