KRC4 Mechanical Servicing: Quantec Robot Series – KUKA

Course Description

This programme is run in conjenction with industry leaders, KUKA Robotics.

 The participants in this seminar are trained in the fundamentals of proper maintenance and repair work for robot arms of the KR series 

During class you will learn about:

  • Creating test programs
  • Repair intructions
  • Replacing components
  • Maintenance and repair work

Course Agenda

  •  Proper use of the safety facilities for KUKA industrial robots 
  • Operating the robot controller to the extent necessary for putting the robot back into service 
  • Creating test programs 
  • Re-commissioning a robot (installation, connection, start-up, mastering) 
  • Jogging 
  • Mode of operation of the individual components of the robot arm 

 

  • Repair instructions and spare parts catalogue 
  • Locating the possible cause of mechanical faults 
  • Correcting mechanical faults by replacing components 
  • Replacing components using the proper robot dismantling and assembly procedures 
  • Preventive maintenance and servicing work 
  • Load data determination

Prerequisites

Training in a mechanical trade is useful, safety footwear is a prerequisite for all course participants.
